It’s not long until the Astrological New Year starts, with the New Moon in Aries. It’s like that feeling of dawn when the sun is just about to rise, the whole day is ahead, and you’re excited about what is possible.
This bold, dynamic sign is already about beginnings, linked to the equinox and spring in the northern hemisphere. Aries is fresh, new, impulsive and courageous, and add in the newness of the New Moon energy and you’ve got especially fertile ground to be planting new things into. Think of it like super fertiliser on the seeds of your plans and goals for the next 12 months!
How can you make best use of it? Well, after 6.50 pm AEST today (9.50pm London, 4.50am New York) you can use the next 48 hours to set your intentions for seeing your goals, dreams, visions realised, though the first 8 hours are the most potent. Aries is about self, and this is a time where you have permission to put yourself first, be a little bit selfish. Because if you weren’t you, then what would be the point? Whether you realise it or not, the Universe has made a large investment in you being alive at this moment in time, so it’s time to ask yourself “am I living life as fully as possible?“
Not sure what that looks like? This is the month to find out. Writing down intentions like “I want to easily find my own way towards…” or “I want the courage to be…” or “I want a successful new start in my…” will be a great start, and you have all year to test, experiment, and refine those goals with the power of each New Moon.
If you’d like to personalise it more, and you know your rising sign, you can watch this Live I did on Facebook yesterday to see which area of your chart this New Moon is highlighting. Don’t know your rising? Pop me an email via firstname.lastname@example.org with your birth details and I’ll send it to you. And as a special gift to my subscribers, I’ve created a short (10 min) meditation to do before you start your intentions to get you into the right frame of mind(fulness). You can download it here.
One last thing to note, this New Moon happens while Mars is in Gemini (Mars rules Aries), so adding anything about communication, connection, learning and lighthearted fun will be helpful.
Wishing you much success with your intentions, and Happy Astrological New Year!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
