21 May – 21 June
Gemini season always brings breezes, but the winds of change are blowing strongly in 2025
We’re moving towards the playful buzz of Gemini season, as the mind brightens and information beckons. Whether seeking social connection or plain hard facts, it’s all about curiosity, variety and managing paradoxes with the Gemini breezes at play.
As the Sun highlights Gemini, you’re invited to walk the boundaries of this area of your life and get ready to start something new. Uranus is soon to enter Gemini (7 July), so winds of change are coming. I suggest spending this month preparing for a renovation. You’ve booked the builders, but planning is needed so sledgehammers go through the right walls. Uranus in Gemini will ask where could you do with more light? More flow? What information is needed? It will be a heady, fast energy, so stable, yet flexible plans created now will function as guardrails for your future self.
The New Moon in Gemini on 27 May offers a powerful chance to clear ground and bring the hidden into the open, with ruler Mercury also in Gemini in a trine with purifying Pluto. Take this opportunity to have deep conversations, work out misunderstandings and research deeply into topics.
Change is happening in other areas of your chart, too, and the flexibility of Gemini will help you pivot more easily than before. Saturn sidles into Aries fire, dipping his ornery toes in its flames until early September. Like the cantankerous grandfather babysitting toddlers, it’s not the most comfortable of signs. Boundaries will be tested, speed will have consequences, and bold choices will meet forced caution.
As a softening counterpoint, on June 10, Jupiter leaves the sign of its discontent to swim in the fertile waters of Cancer. Jupiter in Cancer is expansion personified, with Jupiter’s growth effortless in this fecund sign. Yet we won’t see its bounty in Gemini season as there is a final tense square with Saturn to pass, producing battles for homelands and feeling blocked from comfort as Gemini Season draws to a close.
The Sagittarius Full Moon on 11 June will embody this energy, with ruler Jupiter newly in Cancer applying to a tense standoff with Saturn. You’ll need to keep the brakes on big ideas for a few more weeks yet, and it’s the next lunation of the New Moon in Cancer on 25th June that will exemplify the growth possibilities that Jupiter in Cancer has. Once Jupiter pulls past Saturn and out from behind the Sun in mid-July, the tap of its nurturing abundance can flow.
16 June brings us to the final square between Jupiter and Saturn. You may be questioning growth versus grounding or feel caught between excitement and caution. Don’t let it block you; instead, guide you to the barriers to growth that may be ahead. Jupiter in Cancer is thrilling, but Saturn in Aries reminds us of the consequences of moving at speed. A few days later (18 June), Jupiter squares Neptune, and this will not only bring forward the heated Neptune in Aries feels but will also highlight the square aspect Saturn is forming to Neptune. This isn’t exact until February next year, but you just need to look at the news to see it around.
My suggestion is to look to your Aries house this last week of Gemini season, as you will be receiving new information about next year AND the next 3 years (for Saturn) and 14 years (for Neptune). You may find the edges crumbling around topics of this house, and you can either choose to buckle down with Saturn’s energy and take your time to shore up the edges and strengthen the foundations. But if it’s not a priority, then sit back and let Neptune’s waves do as they will.
More dates to watch:
25-26 May – Mercury conjunct Uranus in late Taurus, brings back echoes from the weekend before, and if you’d stay focused on what is irritating, new insights may drop in, or you see things from a new point of view. The next day, Saturn moves into Aries, bringing a focused, grounding energy to a whole new area of life. Saturn in Aries will teach us to master edges, forge resilience and be ok with discomfort, so prepare for a week of new beginnings.
29/30 May – This Mercury Cazimi (heart of the Sun) at 9 Gemini is also conjunct the Royal (fixed) Star Aldebaran, linked to Spring energy and new beginnings. Mercurial tasks are potent today, whether writing, speaking, learning, thinking, networking or commerce. A day for brainstorming a new idea, launching a new website or presenting an important proposal. Aldebaran does demand honesty and integrity, so messages of authenticity and honour will have the most impact. It may also be a day of great restlessness, so loosen your schedule to make space in your day to follow the breadcrumbs of your curiosity.
5/6 June – I’m looking at Venus next, first as she sextiles Jupiter right as she leaves hectic Aries to move into her sign of Taurus. This lends great power to Venusian endeavours – love, partnership, beauty and pleasure, as well as a grounding in more stable and practical ways to connect with loved ones. The slower you go and the deeper you anchor now will help you weather the challenges when Venus squares Pluto on 10 June.
9 June brings a mixed bag for Mercury as it ushers Jupiter into Gemini, like the herald announcing the King’s arrival into nurturing Cancer. Mercury in Cancer is a flickering fish, swimming in and out of focus as it tries to marry logic with intuition. Slowly does it for Mercury in Cancer, giving your intuition time to pass on its messages. The same day it moves into a challenging square with Saturn in Aries, and expect it to be a preview of the energy of the final Jupiter square to Saturn we’re building to on 16 June. Care or fight. Nurture or adventure. Family or independence? All themes that could surface today.
10 June – Jupiter moves into Cancer for the next 12 months, bringing the injection of empathy we’ve all been craving, as the King of the Solar System dives into its nourishing waves. Like the waters of the womb, this fertile sign lets Jupiter do what it does best – GROW – so expect urges towards development or conception. You may find relief as you drop out of your head and into your feelings. Mercury squares Neptune today as well, so plan a day of all feels and flow, and you’ll do well.
15 June – Mars squares Uranus right at the end of Taurus. It’s that moment when you relax and think “I’m almost at the end” and suddenly something comes out of left field to up the ante. There may be an urgency to this and a feeling of “if I don’t do it NOW, it will never get done”. Rattle your cage, and if it opens, make the most of it. However, this isn’t the only bite at the apple, just know November and February bring more chances to free yourself from whatever feels constraining, so instead make plans for future forays.
17 June – Mars is now an important player, with Saturn and Neptune looking to him for their rules. His move into Virgo today will certainly temper the fires and allow individual need for speed to give way to more discerning and retrained action. The next six weeks will allow Saturn to find its feet more easily in Aries, as the foot is taken off the accelerator for a while. Avoid temptations to stay at speed for the sake of work or service, as this combination can make for nervous system mayhem. Make the most of coasting for a while as you run some checks and let your body calm down from all the Mars retrograde stressors earlier this year.
