This calm peace of the Sun travelling through Pisces will be ruffled this year. With ruler Jupiter uncomfortable in Gemini, creativity isn’t flowing as readily, but effort in aligning your heart with your head and soul with your brain will help open the creative tap. Mercury’s square to Jupiter on 21 February is when magic is found by staying curious in your day-to-day details. Broader plans need to be managed carefully and with lashings of data to back up your dreams. The Sun’s square to Jupiter on 3 March is more generous and can help you marry facts and fiction so you can draw other’s attention through storytelling the facts.
Mars stations direct on 24 February, one of the blessings of this period, and you may feel your energy returning or your drive coming back online. It will take a few weeks to really begin its forward momentum, but hopefully with your Mars batteries recharged you’ll be ready to get back to action by mid-March. I am also praying world situations related to Mars (conflict and war) will become clearer and more manageable once Mars moves forward but I’m not holding my breath for true clarity until that last Aries eclipse happens (March 29) and Mars is out of Cancer (18 April).
Saturn in Pisces is still reminding us that the flow of unconditional love and generosity of spirit needs a source, or we will be drained. Challenges are likely to crop up that show your limits as Mercury (25 February) and the Sun (12 March) conjunct Saturn. As always, Saturn demands mastery, so see this as a chance to deepen the work you’ve been doing with Saturn in Pisces. Whether this is devotional work connecting with the divine, stating boundaries with those who could drain you, or extra work put into creative work, the more you reap the more you sow!
Mars may be moving direct, but Venus heads into 40 days of her retrograde cycle on 2 March, moving from 10 Aries to 24 Pisces on 13 April. 40 is a sacred number, often linked with sacrifice towards ultimate freedom and similar themes may be coming up for us all. As Venus moves from her hot seat in active Aries back into the calm, safe waters of Pisces, she is teaching that stepping out of our comfort zone can often lead to higher love. What individual sacrifices can you make that lead to the best needs of all? Where can too much energy and drive be moved into flow and trust?
As the North Node moved into Pisces in January, lunations during Pisces Season will form eclipses for the next few years. Saying that, the Pisces New Moon at 9 Pisces on 28 February will be eclipse-free, so do try to harness this New Moon to enhance creative urges, imaginative compositions and magical masterpieces. It’s also beautiful for curious, open-hearted conversations or creating soul-based commercial endeavours but make sure there are fact-based guidelines in place. It will involve the push-pull of the Sun-Jupiter square mentioned above, so helpful but a healthy dash of logic needs to be stirred in.
As for eclipses, the Virgo Full Moon will be a total eclipse, making for spectacular viewing in the Americas and we’ll catch the end of it as the Moon rises on the east coast of Australia. Early birds in Western Europe will also see it an hour or so before sunrise. What will it bring? This is a South Node eclipse, and a full moon, AND the luminaries fresh from a meeting with Saturn, so its draining effects will be felt as a loss event. I do believe this can be remediated with hard work towards letting go. TIP – to consciously offer up self-criticism, comparison and overthinking for sacrifice on Ketu’s altar of removal towards spiritual ends. None of us need that and you can be darn sure the Universe needs you just the way you are! If you’d like to know more about how these eclipses will affect you personally, keep an eye out for my upcoming webinar on the eclipses in Pisces and Virgo on Friday 7 March (6 March in the USA).
A final note for this season is the Sun’s final conjunction with Neptune at the end of Pisces on March 20. Soak up the last of this dreamy, mystical energy, perhaps even with a little solitude, escape or a spiritual retreat. This has shaped our lives for 14 years, so you may wish to reflect on the house it has highlighted and all it has brought to this area of your life. Perhaps feeling gratitude for all the ways compassion, imagination and boundless love have shown up there, or a deeper spiritual awareness. You may also have experienced confusion and escape, so build hope in making plans for more grounding and clarity from late March.

Thanks for the heads up Alicia!
