Venus trine Jupiter, with the Moon in Taurus

Monday brings one of my favourite astrological moments of the year on Sunday and Monday. Venus in Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer, and the Moon in Taurus joins in, creating a lovefest of exaltation as these three life-giving planets are so strongly resourced by each other. I keep getting the image of three close friends deeply enjoying each other’s company – food is bountiful, conversation and laughter is flowing, and there are hugs all around. Their joy, pleasure and sweetness fills not just their the cups, but those around them too.

This energy will feel like the balm you need after the Moon in Aries highlighting the impulsive and fiery energy of Saturn and Neptune in Aries today (Friday). It’s a soft feminine energy, one that says “We’re better together” and invites you to belong where your values align.

The word kindness is the pure essence this alignment, as it comes from the root of kin and kindred (family – Cancer) and the Old English: Kyndnes referred to nature or innate (Moon in Taurus). Later it evolved into meaning courtesy and benevolence (Jupiter), and then into a quality of caring and tender feelings (Venus in Pisces). To sum it up – kindness is something inherent in humanity, until it gets punished or rewarded out of us. It’s not so rare a trait as we think, especially when we actively seek it.

So, this invitation is to either look for and honour kindness, or to create sweet acts of nurturing with those you feel kinship with; family, friends, your larger community or the Universe. Maybe it’s baking for a friend (Moon in Taurus loves a sweet treat), donating to a charity, sending prayers of peace or standing up for those more vulnerable in your community. You could even re-think kindness, and how it may outplay while Venus and Jupiter loosely remain in this alignment until 7 March.

You could also use this energy to heal rifts in relationship, or to bring new people who you feel a “vibe” with into your circle.  Perhaps try healing your matrilineal ancestry, or moving past discomfort to uncover kinship with those you wouldn’t expect. With late March and April bringing more spicy energy, the bonds you form now will stand you in good stead to weather any storms that may come your way then. With the Aries energy at the moment (see my piece on Saturn conjunct Neptune) a downside is hyper individuality of that fiery, Yang sign. So, it feels like the Universe just tucked this softer, bonding energy into the days following that forthright conjunction as a reminder that we’re designed to be in connection, and in community.
